The Y-Not Project
THE Y-NOT PROJECT IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION HONORING TONY BORCIA AND DEDICATED TO STOPPING INTOXICATED BOATERS.
About The Y-noT Project: The Y-noT Project is being formed by Tony Borcia’s family and friends. It seeks to end intoxicated boating tragedies. The Y-noT Project is not an anti-drinking and boating campaign but instead, a responsible boating campaign which encourages individuals “YnoT be a designated boater” and “Y-noT report erratic boating”.
On August 9, 2015, The Borcia family and friends will hold the annual Wiffleball Tournament fundraiser in memory of their son, Tony Borcia. Tony was killed at the age of ten on July 28, 2012 by an impaired boater. See Tribute to Tony.
Proceeds helped support AAIM’s Victim’s Assistance Fund and made it possible for the family to donate a boat for to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to help make Illinois waterways safer.
